Insulated

Why did you choose this item?

Availability: Stock Model

I live in northern Alberta so an insulated boot was a must for our cold, frigid, and long winters. I wanted to also wear a Canadian Made boot.

Extreme Conditions

These boots were my primary winter boot for the worst of the worst that the cold northern Canadian winter brings. They saw extremes of -40C and were put to the test. They held up great and did the job. They saw all kinds of terrain from fields to forests, river banks to mountain sides.

Leather

Patina Process

Boots had little break in. They have a pull up leather and they have aged as expected. They have held up well and went about 600km for the dome.

Big chonky boots in a 3e toe. Sizing is big, lots of room for big merino wool socks and added insoles.

At the price they are a great every day winter boot for the average Canadian. However, I really wish CW would have gone the extra distance, used leather instead of the fibreboard inside, and a better winter outsole. The v132 is a great option for snow pack and fresh snow, but really struggles with ice, which is a continuous issue with our thaw and freeze Canadian winters. They are triple stitched and held up well. The insulated heel also held up and has not worn out which means they will see another season.

Final thoughts

Good Value
Would Recommend

Great everyday boots for the average Canadian. As I said I would love to see these boots made a little better and a little more winter ready with a better outsole, but for the price they did a great job.
