    Leather

    Culatta di Cavallo
    Break-In

Aside from some modest softening and mattening, the leather has not changed. From the start there was not much need for break-in. This leather produces a lot of rubbing sounds.

    Fit

    320 Last: 10US Men's Brannock: 10.5D-E HTB/9.5 HTT
    Comfort
    Arch
    Toe Box
    Length Feels Right
    Volume Feels Right
    Satisfied with the Fit
    Ball Feels Misplaced

One area where these boots stand out is how well the inside is sculpted to support a foot. That is not to say support as in arch support, though there is a decent amount, but the foot bed has very comfortable feel from the start. I have never had shoes with such a deep rounded cup under the heel. The back of the boot is also formed as if it were made on a cast of my foot. I am 10.5D HTB but low volume, and I believe this last is TTS. I do feel that the flex point is not aligned perfectly, since this is a size 10, but it has caused no issues. In the beginning I felt as if these would have to be summer-socks only due to toe box volume, but now I am happily wearing them with mid weight socks. If I could change one thing on the last it would be to widen the foot bed slightly under the toes. Despite being a true D width at size 10, my pink does push the leather a bit out medially.

    Craftsmanship

    Finishing

Not a good judge here, but I have had worse finishing for more money, that's for sure. I would say the craftsmanship is good for this price range. One thing I have to mention is the screws in the heel, sure it looks cool but it's not great in practice. Sand and stones get in under the screw and the metal will really crunch and grind it with every step until it gets dislodged.

    Sole & heel

    Durability

Decent rubber soles that are probably going to last a while. Not as soft as some vibrant soles. Cool novelty factor

    Final thoughts

    Would Recommend

Chico Imrie brings a new style to European-made footwear. This model leans toward American heritage while the others appear to be taken from a different era, looking a bit too dandy to be workwear. You can find these at Burg & Schild, but as said before I think their sizing advice only applies to low-volume feet and I think they are TTS
