Use & wear

Physical Work
Humid Climate

Used primarily as yard work shoes. I mowed grass and worked on projects around the house in them. In the last two months I wore them more out as well.

Leather

Brown Full Grain
Patina Process
Durability

The leather patinas fantastically. It picked up every little scratch, but there was so much oil in it that they could easily be rubbed out.

Fit

503 Last: 9.5DUS Men's Brannock: 11D
Ball Feels Right
No Toe Room
Too Little Volume
Not Satisfied with the Fit

These were a half size too small. My toes would be squished immediately, and after prolonged wear my toes would be very sore, specifically my pinky toes. I removed the insoles and replaced it with a Rose Anvil very thin insole.

Craftsmanship

Construction
Durability

Stitchdown construction is my favorite style of heritage boot. These are built like tanks and if they had been the right size for me I know I’d still wear them after the contest.

Sole & heel

Comfort

Wedge soles are comfortable right out of the box.
