I really love the silhouette of these boots, the low profile unstructured toe is eye-catching and a better profile than most other engineers I've seen. That these are hand lasted and hand stitched is incredible, with the only clue to their being handmade being some crooked stitching on the sole. If I had to change one thing it would be the quality of the hardware - would gladly pay extra for better hardware. The quality is fine, but higher grade hardware would make these boots unbeatable.

Final thoughts

Good Value
Would Recommend

About the headline, these are a beautiful pair of boots that I am happy to own but the acquisition process was a bit difficult and honestly, nerve-wracking. I've learned to manage my expectations and to trust the process - Fortis makes amazing boots and I'd highly recommend them...if you're up to the challenge
