Veg Tan rides again

These boots are my struttin' boots. I started wearing them to work but they were sustaining lots of damage there so I relegated my roughout and waxed flesh boots to the work life. I have hiked a small amount in them, the Dr Soles are not my favorite woods heel but they work in a pinch. I wear these boots during the dog days of summer and all winter. I live in a humid-ish climate so I'm thinking about getting a cold air boot dyer.

These boots were my first veg tan boots and I could not be happier with the oiled latigo. I like the contrast between the two colors. The break in was not too bad. I brush them every time I wear them, and I haven't noticed a ton of color change or color-based patina on them. The temper of this leather is fairly rigid and stiff, which I really like. I am totally sold on W&C veg tan. I haven't noticed an issues with breathability and this leather is durable overall, although it does show scuffs and gouges.

Break in was not too bad. I did the same thing as I do with every pair, just wear them hard until my feet start to hurt and switch to a pair of redbacks for recovery. Repeat every day until broken in.

Comfort is very good. The 55 last always feels amazing to my feet. This last saved my feet from plantar fasciitis foot pain almost lot. These are LTT, and I've heard some folks complain about kneeling with a LTT but I haven't found any issues. No added insoles. I love the high heel. I wear think merino socks with them.

I love the LTT design. The construction is second to none, the best in the world. Very durable. The stitching is beautiful. Clicking is perfect. Hardware is very strong. This leather is too think to have a liner according to Franks.

I freaking love the Dr Soles sole. Its durable but also somehow comfortable. Good traction on floors and concrete. The design is cool as hell.
