I had wanted get a heritage type boot for work and I watched a YouTuber say that these were like luxury work boots. I also liked that they were wedge sole and veg tan and had a moc toe stitch that wouldn't eventually separate. I knew the leather lining would feel good too as I have other boots with that and they are my most comfortable and luxurious feeling boots. So I took a chance on these and it payed off. I didn't buy them specifically for the Dome, but they were back ordered and by the time they arrived I had decided to enter the Thunder Dome. These were going to be a late entry but they arrived earlier than expected and with one day left to enter. So here they are!

These were used most days by me at work. I am an Electrical contractor. My work varies day by day. Some days can be tough on the boots and other days very light when just walking around jobsites.

Care Routine

The breaking in was relatively easy. After just a few days they were feeling pretty good. From then on they got more and more comfortable to wear. The leather is still solid and supportive but also soft. The colors it has evolved to are beautiful, with deeper warm tones and darker areas coming up around the toe box. Care was just the occasional brush and a wipe down on rare occasions. The tounge is thinner and has dark patina. The leather lining aids comfort and adds a touch of luxury not usually seen in a work boots. The leather has held up extremely well with only scratches on the toe box from kneeling down on concrete etc to work.

Satisfied with the Fit

The fit is excellent for my foot. The last has plenty of room in the toe box without being too bulbous. Supportive where needed at the ankles. I can wear them all during the work day with out pain or discomfort.

Lining

This is where they excel. I cant fault anything much craftsmanship wise. One tounge does move to the side a bit, but its not a huge deal. The stitching was tight and flawless. The design has really grown on me and I believe they look better with some wear. The lining is excellent and makes them feel like a luxury boot.

This sole has been unexpectedly durable for a wedge sole. Its still going strong. Very comfortable on all surfaces and standing on a ladder. We dont get much rain in San Diego so I can't comment on wet surface traction.

Good Value

These have been fantastic to wear and see evolve. Great value for money. They feel luxurious but still durable enough for light to medium construction type work. A pleasure to wear and highly recommended
