Office duty and lots of yard and garden work, with some off road dog walking and bird watching mixed in.
This is the first Natural CXL pair I’ve had and I can see now why it’s such a mainstay. It conformed to my feet quickly which helped minimize the initial heel slip and evolved to a beautiful warmer brown with time. It seemed to need minimal care aside from consistent brushing. I probably worn these pair 5 days a week or so and tried to get in a good brushing session every 3 wears or so. One good conditioning with vsc in about December after they got really wet seemed to be all they needed aside from a couple little dabs of conditioner on a couple of occasions to brush out scuffs.
I have long low volume feet which tend to make fitting laceless shoes and boots tough. I size as a Brannock 11.5 with a heel to toe measurement that’s a half size longer than my heel to ball (h to t 11.5 and h to b 11). I went with a 10.5 in these and was able to take us some extra volume in the instep with a tongue pad. They feel great with medium to thick socks and now that they’ve broken in heel slip is minimal. The ease of use with the Chelsea is absolutely fantastic. The pair is easy to wear and seems to look good with everything. A very versatile and comfortable pair for sure.
These boots are fantastic. I bought them as B Grades and like many others wasn’t able to find a flaw. Perhaps they anticipated some courseness of the break of the CXL, but I absolutely love the way they’ve broken in and think that the textures and roles are fantastic. As everyone knows, the quality and Value of the GS build, especially at the B Grades price is absolutely amazing. I’m very impressed and will be buying more pairs from GS in the future
Fantastic, no issues.
