I’ve worn these about three times a week over the last six months, mostly in an office setting. I avoided heavy snow and bad weather, but they’ve still seen a fair share of life. A quick brush every month or so with water and a horsehair brush has kept them in great shape without overthinking it. They’ve become part of my weekly rhythm.
The Maduro shell is just stunning. Pictures don’t do it justice. It shifts from near-black to a rich, earthy brown depending on the light. There’s real depth to it. The creasing has developed beautifully, and the character that’s showing up now is everything I could’ve hoped for.
I went with 10.5E on the Leo last, and the fit is spot on. They molded to my feet quickly and now feel like they were custom made. Walking in them feels great. They just keep getting better with time.
Top-notch. The construction, attention to detail, and overall feel of these boots is incredibly high quality. The stitching is tight, clean, and even, and the balance between ruggedness and refinement is perfect. The black cotton laces I added give them a subtle but sharp contrast that I love.
I’ve had no issues at all with the Micro Stud sole. Grip is solid, comfort is great, and it adds just the right amount of structure and support. They’re not ideal for snow, but great for everything else. They’ve worn in evenly and feel stable whether I’m standing for long stretches or walking around the city.
I didn't expect to get this attached to a pair of boots, but here we are. They’ve been with me through a serious season of change, starting a new business, getting sober, and walking my 5-year-old into school for the first time, and almost every day since. I’ve grown a lot in the last 6 months, and these boots have grown with me. I've gotten quite attached to them. They’re Grant Stone Edward boots in Maduro shell, size 10.5E on the Leo last. I swapped in custom black cotton laces because I love the contrast. They’ve got this rich, dark depth to the colour that doesn’t really show up in photos. It’s like they shift slightly depending on the light, from almost black to this warm, earthy brown. Super versatile. They look just as good with jeans in the office as they do dressed up for a night out. I wear them about three times a week, mostly indoors. I didn’t beat them up much in the snow this winter, but I did give them a light brushing every month or so with just a bit of water. No creams, no polishes, no overthinking. Just letting them do their thing. And they have done their thing. The way they’ve molded to my feet is unreal. It’s like they’ve taken on my shape in the best way. And now they feel like they were built just for me. The shell has softened and creased in all the right places. They’re aging and growing character with me. Earning every mark. Honestly, if I could only keep one pair of everyday boots, these would be it. Durable. Comfortable. Beautiful. And they carry a story that’s deeply personal to me. This has been a really fun adventure documenting how they've changed. They hold a lot of amazing memories and make me smile every time I put them on. Cheers to Wyatt and the GS team for making something really special. Thanks :)
