I took pictures of my measurements and communicated over Whatsapp.
I saw his work on Instagram and then he walked me through the process of having a boot made.
Shoes were worn daily. Whether I would go on a hike, a vacation trip, an afternoon of some yard work or go to the office these boots were worn.
Leather has changed radically from an almost white color to now a light tan. Although these shoes were handled very roughly, blemishes would easily be polished away. Fortunately, this leather can hold a lot of conditioner.
The gloxi souls were very comfortable and light. Toe box was very large and had plenty of arch support.
Hand stitch construction, very clean and even. The nylon shoe laces did not last my rough handling. However when I replace the with leather laces they held up extremely well. I am afraid when this needs a resole, the quality will be significantly less.
The souls were extremely comfortable and light. However I would say it would wear out significantly faster than a hard rubber sole. Never had any traction issues despite working in mud.
These boots were a great value if you're looking to get high-end leather with precision craftsmanship which is typically to be expected from Indonesian made boots. Had a great time the last 6 months just wearing these for almost all activities. At times I wonder if I should have entered this as a work boot. I dug holes, got covered by blood, hiked trails, office work and everything else in between. They held up great and looked good. Photos do not do it justice probably because I'm a terrible photographer.
