I chose the Packer boot because I wanted a boot with good arch support, but in more of a casual style than my builerpros
Nick's recommends going a half size down from brannock, so that is what I did. I probably could have gotten an E width instead of D, but they still feel good
It was good. They took longer than I would have liked, I ordered them May 20th and got them November 4th, but fortunately, they were on time for the thunderdome
Typically I hike 15 to 20 miles per week in them. I also work at a pizza shop, so they get stuff spilled on them regularly
It shows wear much more easily than bison leather and is stiffer than bison leather ( I also have a pair of bison builder pros). I will probably clean and condition them after about a month of wear. Even in the first week of wear the vamp and counter are darker
To start out, the arch feels a bit high and the toe feels narrow, but it is flattening and widening nicely
The design and construction are good, but there are two noticeable misplaced stitch lines
Traction and comfort seem similar to the v100 I have not tested them long enough yet to know how they hold up over time
The traction is not the best because of how dense and shallow the lug pattern is, but it is not bad either. I do not know about durability yet
My only previous experience with boots have been black boots, so I am getting used to how quickly the 1964 monarch leather patinas. I would recommend Nick's boots to anyone who needs a good pair of work boots
