I've worn these boots to work Monday thru Friday and whatever little OT I get here and there.. They see a combination of time spent on asphalt/concrete and driving/operating. They have been exposed to some water and salt this past month. They handle everything with ease.
It's patina has come along quite nicely. I had to add some Smiths Leather Balm a month ago to help with the winter weather and it darkened initially, but has lightened back up since. The leather feels buttery soft and is holding up nicely. The break in with the leather was super easy and my routine has been daily brushing after work and a weekly wipe down with a damp warm rag.
The fit has always been great. As my second pair of Nicks,, I knew how to size myself. Dropping down one width size fine tuned everything. The 55 last was very difficult to break in. It took over a month and a half for the arch to form and my foot to become comfortable. It's now incredibly comfortable and supportive.
These boots are beautiful to look at and beautiful to wear.
They pick up alot of small pebbles and dirt. I usually have to hose them off after work each day.
