Everything from hiking in West Texas to digging trenches in the rain, from office meetings to date nights these have been my constant companions at work as a handyman, traveling on vacation, and going out for celebrations.
Horween Dublin is the softest full veg tan leather I've ever had the pleasure of wearing, this pair felt almost fully broken in within a week, developing rolls and wrinkles faster than any leather that I know of, picking up indigo from my jeans and darkening to a gorgeous caramel brown with wear and sun exposure, a little elbow grease with a horsehair brush every evening brings out a natural shine and a wipe down with a damp rag when they get mud caked keeps them looking like the cherished possession that they are. I gave them a good wash and a light conditioning with some Venetian shoe cream about 5 months in after a particularly muddy day.
I went up 1 width from my last pair and it helped especially in winter with thick wool socks, these fit beautifully and are comfortable all day with no insoles after the foot bed broke in
Outstanding craftsmanship as always with Nick's, had a small squeak for a while in one boot but it went away with some boot oil in a syringe
The v100 is my favorite sole for a "jack of all trades" boots, I love the traction on steep rocky trails, the occasional roof, wet decks, and on a rare Texas cold snap, they aren't too bad on ice. They might not be the dressiest option but for what I do they are perfect
These were my first moderate heel stack and with the block heel, the stability is top notch, I have nerve damage down my right leg and tend to supinate if given the chance and these heels don't give me a chance like my packer heels do.
