The fit is near perfect, perhaps a little more room in the toe box than I need but overall a great fit.
Nicks Handmade Boots
I love the vintage bump toe look of the 67 last from Nick’s and waxed flesh seemed like the perfect leather for my line of work
I used the online guide from Nick’s and I went and got my brannock sizing to further dial in the fit
Ordering went very smoothly, they arrived sooner than expected likely because the leather was a limited run
I worked in every condition, rain and shine and these boots held up perfectly
The break in process was virtually nonexistent honestly. I attribute that to getting a near perfect fit and very soft leather. What little break in there was was painless and they only continue to get more comfortable. The waxed flesh shows every scratch which I think is badass.
I love the look of the sprung toe box, very old school train conductor vibes imo. Plus the added room is great for my wide feet
Amazing craftsmanship, especially for a pair of work boots. They feel like tanks.
The leather sole has held up surprisingly well, probably have another 6 months or more left in them. I loved the added flexibility and comfort they added. They only downside side is the squeaking sound the make and they occasional slip
The only I would change if I reordered these boots is to get a full size logger heel in stead of the moderate dogger but that’s just purely aesthetic for me.
I truly enjoyed wearing these boots to work everyday. They’ve been in some dank basements, cramped crawlspaces and dusty attics. They’ve been a pleasure to wear have done a great job of protecting my feet while looking classically stylish. Thanks Nick’s!
