With just shy of 600 miles I must say this has been my favorite Nicks combination to date. The 55 last is amazing and comfortable and once broken in I must admit, I didn’t want to love it, but I absolutely prefer my 55 over the PNW last. The whisky predator leather has aged beautifully throwing some great contrasts between highs and lows and really turned to a very rich brown that would quickly shine up with a good buff rub with a horse hair brush with minimal effort. The single piece backstay in combination with the rolled 6” top gave a great hybrid look to bridge the gap between workwear and everyday wear. The mini lug sole has provided me with enough grip to give confidence on the many surfaces of a construction site but didn’t have to worry about the pesky rocks/screws getting stuck in the sole like I experienced with the traditional Lug sole in the past. And I was concerned with wear since it’s much smaller in sole, but with my current 600 miles I’d say I have at least 600 more before I would start considering a resole. Overall I love these boots and would, have, and will recommended these to everyone.

55 last is my preferred last. I was skeptical but once it broke in I’ve been more than happy with the last. I loved my PNW last but I LOVVVVEEEEE the 55 last!

The design is great I love the hybrid look between work and everyday wear. The rolled top with the single backstay is a great classic look. They have held up to the test of 600 miles and are ready for another 600

The 430 mini lug has been fantastic enough grip in all surfaces which one would expect from a lug but without the pesky screw and rock catch like my lug soles gave.

I would recommend not just these boots but any nicks to anyone and everyone. The change in comfort and foot fatigue has been bar none. I wear these things literally everywhere and everyday and will continue to do so!
