More about this item

Will use these for Patina Thunderdome

Why I own this

Workplace Needs
Style

I love all things green, which was a start. Bison leather is very durable too, along with the “Godzilla” texture was kind of unique for me. Knew this would hold up no problem in the hospital/clinical/laboratory spaces I work in.

Customer Service

Pretty easy. My second pair from Nicks and knew what to expect. Great communication and timely service considering prior knowledge of lead time

Wet Conditions

Worn almost every day for the duration since OCT. I work in an office/hospital and clinical/lab environment. 10-12 hours a day. Wore them on pavement walks, about 3.5 miles distance.

Care Routine

Color has definitely changed and browned a lot. Not a lot of heavy patina too me, but I don’t have extreme activities. The leather has held up exceptionally and conformed with time, to the point they just feel wonderful. Going to be hard to put them away and wear other boots! I brushed them mostly, conditioned twice, and jazzed them up with some Saphir stuff in the last month

Satisfied with the Fit

The size must be dead on because I never even thought about it. They just fit “firm” for the first day or so, and have been great ever since. I can wear them as long as I want and there’s literally zero issues, other than having to unlace them at the end of the day when I’m tired and lazy.

They have held up very well. All stitching and hardware is intact. They feel like they could go on indefinitely other than resole when appropriate.

Design

Great traction, but never had the chance to wear in deeper snow or ice. They have worn minimally and still are resilient enough to give a sort of shock absorber effect. I like the half sole look a lot too

Final thoughts

Would Recommend
Good Value

These boots will be around for the long haul. Maybe the style of leather isn’t for everyone but that’s understandable. I’m interested to see what they’d look like at 6 month intervals from now until a few years from now. Hey, maybe that would be a cool feature for this app? Long haul updates, etc.
