The Roanoke veg tan was a stiff breakin, but 3 months in they're fantastic. Like 55 last slippers

Why did you choose this item?

Availability: Custom

I need a work safe boot, but wanted a western style boot; the packer was the perfect combination. The outsole options were available for any need, the 55 last is always a safe goto, just a great build.

I stayed true to size in Nicks boots which is most often .5 size below brannock. Nicks home sizing sheet confirmed this as well.

These boots have literally done it all, from the desert to the snow, been in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, mud, sand, all types of quarries, the dairies of Idaho. Literally been all over North America. From hard rock quarries of coastal British Columbia to the limestone quarries of coastal South Carolina; they've been everywhere, man. The daily use of these boots has been everywhere from the office work and hands on, on-site physical work of managing a large fleet of heavy equipment, to the day to day operations of running a family farm. Truly all purpose.

Care Routine
Durability

With several pairs of boots in the dome this year in Roanoke Timber, I believe we've all worked to bring this leather to light. Interest was low initially, but it's developed into an absolutely perfect leather. While intended to be a veg-tan heritage leather at the root, it's been absolutely perfect as a work leather as well. With a kiss of bick 4 to reverse some salt water exposure, the leather remained largely virgin until a light coat of Smiths during month 4. It's been fantastic.

Satisfied with the Fit

The 55 last is almost like standing on a small roll of coins, but in the best way possible. Once the foot is used to, it's hard to ever go back to a low arch last!

Traction

These are my absolute go to. Perfect traction for everyday use without lugs packed with mud.

Over the course of a few months of the dome, I've pretty well worn the heel smooth, but the rubber base has held up well.

Good Value

I love these boots so much I've already bought a second pair. They're comfortable, have held up great and have the look that I like to match my style.
