Use & wear

Cold Temperatures

Regular, heavy use ranging from earthwork, forming, carpentry to walking to the park. Lots of gravel, dirt, and water through pnw wintertime. The only breaks in wear were on days they had been soaked through.

Color Change

Beautifully. Regular brushing, occasional spot cleaning with wet rag, first time adding wax as the nap started to raise. Feels like it’s just warming up.

Wide toe box, zero drop last. I will go with a heel-free sole in the future, but I do like the look and softness of the honey sole

Stitching

Immaculate stitching, finishing, leather choices. Leather is right where I want it to be, between pliability and stiffness. Feels like I won’t have any problem for many years.

Looks great, reasonably soft while keeping great shape, and excellent traction on a variety of surfaces

Final thoughts

Would Recommend

Thrilled to be wearing these boots. While I do appreciate the arch support and heel stack of pnw boots, I also like barefoot shoes, and these fit neatly in the middle. A highly durable, robust construction, in a more flexible package. Glad Nicks started this line.
