They have been my fancy wear, work wear, leisure, below freezing temps, and deep in muddy water. Get em on the boot dryer after a day in the snow and slip em on in the morning they are ready to rock
I cant really see a difference in the leather. Its got a couple wrinkles and small cracks. But looks great after all the wet and dry cycles of winter. The leather wipes off dirt easy, and I did do one run of Obenaufs in the winter. That helped. Not much patina since its black leather, my patina was mud ha! This leather is so comfortable though, I wore them for hours even after i got home from work.
Design is amazing. Slip right on once you break them in. No pointers. Bad ass tanks. No stitch issues like I've seen on other tankers straps falling off.
I am so happy I got my first pair of Tankers. And getting to Dome them despite it being a pair that doesn't patina well, im just happy I have them. They feel a part of me, i slip them on in the morning with that satisfying leather snap to my feet where my soles formed to my feet, run out the door and they hug me close, tighten them down later when work actually starts. I didnt patina them as much as they patina'd me <3 Thanks Nicks for making such a functional and beautiful boot.
