Why did you choose this item?
Wanted to try a boot from Oldspeed MFG and this was the perfect opportunity with his dome GMTO. Chose the custom soles for better traction and low profile.
How did you determine your size?
Went to the shop and he did a custom fitting.
What was the ordering process?
Very easy. All done online.
Use & wear
Used for both office work, around the house, and walking around cities on vacation. They performed great in wet conditions and okay in light snow.
Leather
Broke in easily through everyday wear. Occasional conditioning. Stored with shoe trees. Major color change and beautiful wrinkling. Very durable.
Fit
Perfect fit as they were custom fitted.
Craftsmanship
Exceptional craftsmanship. Just perfect. Great hardware, stitching, lining, etc. The design is very sleek and can dress down or slightly up.
Sole & heel
A little soft. Very comfortable. Great in wet, decent in snow. Wore about halfway through. Great compromise as they are lower profile, but still grip well.
Same as above. They go together.
Final thoughts
I loved wearing these boots. Dave is a dynamite bootmaker and these are the best boots I've ever worn. Very fair price.
