Wonderfully supple article; excellent toe room; able to get a firm fit on my skinny ankle/mid-high instep. These do well for all-day wear.

These have lived in the high desert of Santa Fe and gone through a heavy, hot Winter in Austin, TX. They’ve seen plenty of sweat and a bit of snow. They do very well for long days out and fit beautifully with mid-weight socks, making them an easy choice any day. They’re about to do a 10-day run in Hong Kong.
The Anise Kudu is really coming into its own, now. I feel even more drawn to them as they gather crocking and the color depth deepens. They’re starting to feel like veteran, handsome winners and I’m excited for what the future holds with them. These have gotten one round of Bick 4 and more regular brushing than their first 6 months of use. They’ll get a full clean and condition after we’re back from our trip.
These have only gotten better with wear. A nicely roomed toe box and excellent solidity from ankle through heel and instep makes them quite comfortable. I’ve slightly relaxed my lacing and it’s proven helpful for long days. For my feet, a bit more arch support is helpful but these remain very comfortable.
Quite excellent! These were very well finished (factory samples) and the build is holding up as it should. I knock them around a lot for how casual my use is and they’ve done well. They are extremely handsome boots as far as I am concerned and are built very well.
I really dig these soles. Excellent comfort despite my heavy steps. I also have a bit of heel and toe drag but they’re holding up admirably. They haven’t seen extreme conditions (significant ice/snow) but have offered solid grip in my usage. It’s nice to no longer be on a small-gravel driveway—the rock pickup is considerable in this configuration.
I love these boots and am happy to have carried this experience through the Thunderdome. Our relationship has deepened and I’m really looking forward to using these boots for years to come.
