The boots are very well made down to every detail. They do have some weight to them. The waxy commander leather is beautiful and definitely needs some breaking in. Very roomy toe box with the wide size. I’m a EE wide and these feel wonderful as far as wide comfort. There’s also a decent amount of room for the instep and heel. The black leather insole has a little cushion under the heel and then transitions to a solid leather insole at the forefoot. Not much cushioning overall and hopefully will get better once they’re broken in.

Final thoughts

Would Recommend

The boots are very well made down to every detail. They do have some weight to them. The waxy commander leather is beautiful and definitely needs some breaking in. The brass hardware compliments the Wheatbuck leather color wonderfully. The heel stack, stitching, and split welt design all make it a well designed and well crafted boot. I love the look, leather, feel, construction, and quality of these boots.
