I wore these to the office daily, on a trip to visit family and friends, out and about for daily activities and errands. They saw sun, rain, and snow. They trod carpet, tile, and wood; pavement and blacktop; grass and dirt. They were not spared or babied!
The leather has held up well. It seems to have developed into more of a brown and has really formed to my feet. I lightly brushed these as necessary, at most a couple times per month. No conditioning.
All my other bluchers are lined and feel the tiniest bit snug with thin socks. These unlined bluchers formed much more easily to my feet and ended up feeling less cramped. I can wear them barefoot or with thin socks. They do feel smug with thick socks on (understandably). These are pretty flat, not much support, but the sole is soft under foot.
Love these shoes! It's obvious the unlined shoes have less structure to them, so they are more comfortable to wear and more casual in appearance than the rest of my bluchers. Smart and casual in appearance, which is an excellent upgrade from a sneaker. Clicking was flawless on this pair, no goofy creasing or discoloration between panels of leather.
Good traction, comfortable under foot, plenty durable, and they look good. I have lots of shoes with these soles and they're one of my favorites.
I love Quoddy bluchers! If you like the style definitely pick up a pair for yourself. They're comfortable, stylish, well made, and versatile. Hard to beat the price too for an American hand-made shoe . Strong recommendation!
