I wear them almost everyday, to and from school in NYC.
I brush them often with a horse hair brush and occasionally apply bick 4. During the break in period I used bick 4 more often to try to help the leather form to my feet. The leather didn’t darken too much but it definitely began to show highlights and striations over time. I could only wear them for a few hours at a time during initial break in period. After about two weeks they stopped hurting my feet. After about two months they started becoming comfortable. I felt like they continued to break in for months. I feel they are still breaking in every time I wear them. My feet seem to breath better in these boots than many of my sneakers. They are definitely more durable than any sneaker I’ve owned. I know these will last me a long time. :)
The boots are very comfortable, even after wearing them for an extended period of time. They fit very well and they provide good support especially for my ankles.
Excellent craftsmanship. The design is tried and true. It’s been around for so long and has definitely proven itself. There isn’t a stitch out of place. The leather from sb foot is so good and smells amazing. I love how the toe box is lined with leather, not cloth. Wish they had speed hooks but I will add them in the future.
The wedge is very grippy and soft but it tends to yellow a bit. It’s a different material than then men’s version which is firmer. I think it’s great I just wish it didn’t yellow.
Really love these. Wish I bought them sooner. I would totally recommend these to friends and family. My advice would be to fight through the tough break in period best you can because they become as comfortable as slippers.
