The heel, especially on the right side, has muffin topped pretty bad at this point. I could try fixing them with boot trees, but with 3 other pairs, I'm happy to have these semi-retired. After these I tried, bought and sold countless models and makers from other Red Wings over higher end handwelted made in japan boots and also some mto's. I now found my way back to the "og" and wonder why I never had some 875s in the past. I may got caught in the chase of something better, newer, more rare and forgot how great these boots already are. But going into upscale and fine dining I want to be able to express myself and wear clothing Id like since I'm not getting doused in fry oil each and every day. These have come with me through Valentine's service, New Years and countless other dinners. They are dressy enough to look professional but not stuffy so they don't look out of place. I feel confident and comfortable with 16 hour days and 50-60 hour weeks. Boots will patina, knives will patina, and pans will patina.
