I own a couple of pair of moctoe Red Wings. I wanted a pair with vibram lug soles for more outdoor oriented activities.
How did you determine your size?
23 Last: 10.5DUS Men's Brannock: 8C HTB/11 HTT
My brannock size is just over 11. About 11.2. My first pair of moctoe Red Wings I went with 11’s and they were a little too big… even with thick socks. My second pair I bought in size 10.5. These fit better for my foot size. For reference, I wear an 11.5 in Vans or Adidas.

hiked in the mountains, done gardening, helped out friends on their farms in the mud, cleared bramble patches, trekked through the Belizean rainforest, hiked accross coffee farms in Guatemala, took the boots on and off an absurd amount of time through TSA, done woodworking, welding, painting, sanding and all the other good stuff, I have been to numerous farmer’s markets loading and offloading a bunch, also sat my ass down a lot for some inevitable office time, danced with my partner, went to dinner with friends and family, sometimes walked aimlessely through city streets, just for the heck of it.

I got my Red Wing 1907s resoled by Steve at Bedo’s Leatherworks (new welt, midsole, and outsole) in July 2025. Steve did an absolutely FANTASTIC job. He really breathed new life into them. July was also the same month my daughter was born. After i got my boots back from Steve, I tested them out for a bit and put them on the shelf, since I was going to be staying in the house helping the wife raise our newborn. I wasn’t planning on Doming this year, but the pre-worn category was announced a few months later, and I knew my boots were the perfect “fit” for the category.
I wore these for EVERYTHING. Most notably, at the Honolulu Marathon’s 10k portion where wife and I speed-walked our baby in her stroller through downtown honolulu. These boots helped keep my dogs from barking during the 10k and our trip to Japan, and they kept my feet dry while chopping through armored snow (what happened on the East Coast was weird).They’re surprisingly great beach boots, handling sand sprays with ease.
