Use & wear

Worn mostly as work boots. Lots of pavement walking but not a lot of hard wearing work. They have gotten a few bumps and scraps

Leather

S.B. Foot Black Prairie

I really like this leather. Has a cool tea core effect on the scratches and wear points. My care routine has been mostly a soft plastic brush and red wings liquid boot soap with light coats of obenauf’s heavy duty lp. Not the most breathable combo

Fit

23 Last: 10DUS Men's Brannock: L 10D, R 10EE
Length Feels Right
Volume Feels Right
Satisfied with the Fit
Ball Feels Misplaced

I wish redwing did more wide sizes. Besides the width I do like the toe box volume. The heel isn’t the most snug fitting but it’s fine once the boot really breaks in. Has decent arch support now that the leather insole is very broken in

Craftsmanship

I have no problem with the uppers. The Finnish on them is really nice but the welts are not reusable and pretty rough. This hasn’t affected how I’ve worn the boots in any way I’m debating on adding speed hooks once I resole to make it easier to put them on or take them off

Sole & heel

Great traction until they become flat. Watch out for anything wet on the ground. Durability isn’t bad for a wedge and comfort has been good

Final thoughts

I do really like these boots but if I were to do it all over again I’d probably just go with whites Perry
