I have used my 875's for everything and they have held up no problem. I have taken them hiking through Utah, Colorado and New Mexico, split firewood, poured concrete, farm work and just lived every day life in them.
I have many pairs of Red Wings but this was my first time owning Oro Legacy and I can say I was absolutely impressed with the way it has aged and softend up. The break in was probably a couple weeks to really loosen up around the ankles. With simple brushing the leather really starts to change color and darken to a great red, orange, brown with lots of pull up it has become one of my favorite S.B. leathers
The overall boot is comfortable the 23 last runs narrow a 10EEE would probably fit perfect. That is not an option but a 10.5 EE is good/great fit aswell.
The fit and construction is great for the price the the leather footbed has molded to my foot and the leather has broken in around my ankles and become soft. I love that Red Wing still does a traditional moc toe stiching. I have used these boots for everything and so far they have handled everything no problem just so you dont need water proof or Insulation.
The durability of the crepe sole has been good it required excellent traction when hiking on rock terrain but can be slick in deeper mud. I feel I still have another 6 months maybe a year with regular wear.
This was my first time wearing the classic 875 moc toe and I can say it holds up to its reputation well. The color change has been awesome in my opinion and Red wings tough leathers are super easy to care for. It truly is an easy no fuss boot were you can wear it for anything then just brush it up every now and then for an even better boot because these things just keep getting better with age. One thing I really enjoyed about the process was focusing on a pair of boots. I do have a rotation so the patina process happens more slowly out side of the Thnderdome dedicating only 2 pairs has made the process very enjoyable and alot of fun to see the changes happen so rapidly and the Thunderdome in general has been a grest experience.
