Why did you choose this item?
I like Russel and the true moccasin construction. I bought these to be my turkey hunting boots. I chose the zero drop Vibram newporter sole to be quiet, for soundless walks in the woods and for foot feel.
How did you determine your size?
I have found I wear 1/2 size larger in Russel than I wear in Viberg

The leather patinas wonderfully. It's a fairly supple leather. I just oiled them once. They darken significantly after oiling.
Fit
They break in very easily. The moccasins are not very stiff, so they conform to your feet and wind up feeling like a well built pair of leather socks. They've become some of my favorite boots.
