Subtly! Zero care, but this roughout leather is incredibly resilient. Did everything I could to wear it out.

Better every day, do need a tighter hole for the fastening strap! Easy enough to do.

Bomb proof, will take years of regular wear to need repair. It is about time for new vibram soles. They’re worn smooth.

Super comfy, and a great thickness for the sharp rocks I hunted thru. That said, they wore out after one hard year. Will replace with just a new version of what I had soon.

I wouldn’t use these for mountain hunting ruffed grouse in New England if I wasn’t trying to chip away at the patina, so in the future I’d use these as daily comfort drivers and plains and desert hunting boots. Really impressed with how this leather held up. I was over confident in my ability to break this material down. Next year I’ll try something more impressionable!
