Is this a belt for powerlifting or for holding up pants? Yes.

I wore this belt for literally everything. PR attempts in the gym, snow storms, trip to japan, hikes, you name it. This belt is so dang thick I felt like I had a weightlifting belt supporting my back 24/7.

The leather absorbed everything thrown at it (including a little in oops). Most notably, you can see just how much indigo crocking happened on it. Break-in wasnt terrible because it came with a pre made bend in it, so I could work my way through that thick steerhide without completely breaking my back. For care, I did absolutely nothing. This belt is a tank and I dont think I even needed to condition it. It has hopefully many more years left.

Samurai makes wonderful goods. Picked me up a pair of their 25oz jeans from their flagship store in Osaka. The belt is 1.75” wide, so fitting it through most belt loops is a challenge, but it fit like a glove when I finally wore a pair of Samurai Jeans. My favorite part is that huge solid brass buckle from Samurai. I just cannot wait to see how much more it oxidizes over the years.

This belt is a tank and really have no complaints. It handled my big gut pushing into it like a powerlifter preparing for a huge lift for 6 months straight. Definitely recommend.
