I wanted a plain toe boot and I find the cutter LTT style very handsome and a little more interesting than the non-LTT version. There are no shortage of boots I’d like to order but a brown, non-wedge, plain toe boot was next up and the White’s ticked all the boxes
I followed White’s sizing guide
Office work, shop work, field work, travel, leisure. The first day of the dome I laced the boots up for the first time and hopped right on a plane for a weekend vacation. I spent the first week breaking them in by walking all over San Francisco and attending a few concerts, then it was back to work. My work is split between being in the office and out in the shop and field, and I managed to wear them nearly every work day of the dome.
The leather was beautiful in its original form but has patina’d nicely. There’s received no car except for the occasional brushing and have darkened significantly as well as picked up some indigo transfer from jeans.
This was my first pair of 55 last boots, and they’ve ruined most of my flatter-arched boots for me. I love this last
Classic design that’s tough enough to work and nice enough to wear out on the weekend. The construction and stitching is beautiful and I have no doubts that the uppers will last me decades.
I’m in love with both the 55 last and the natural chromexcel leather. I can’t wait to order another pair of 55 last boots from another maker to compare.
