Couple of firsts for me on this one. First time participating in thunderdome and first time going for this type of chunky boots with a heel.See background
Why did you choose this item?
I have always been fascinated by these type of boots, however never had enough courage to try them. So this is going to be first try on how I get one with them, especially the heel and the height.
How did you determine your size?
I went with the advice given on the brands website of boots being true to size and went with my usual EU43 size. They fit great with a good semi thick/thick boot socks.
What was the ordering process?
I’ve ordered those via official online store directly from the brand. Shipping was smooth and prompt.
Use & wear
I’ve worn these for almost everyday during the contest. They were my daily boots.
Leather
Leather was very supple from the beginning and there was pretty much no break-in period. It is very durable and held up great against any and all weather conditions thrown at it. Just a quick note, leather seems to be truck through as there is no indication of teacore effect where it got scuffed.
Fit
Fit is great, I had no issues at all. As mentioned in my earlier review, left boot developed a bit of heel slip, however, it doesn’t affect comfort at all.
Craftsmanship
I found craftsmanship of these boots to be great. They look good and very slick for quite heavy and bulky boots. I really liked understated design, they kind of remind me of Whites Semi-Dress boots in a way of versatility.
Sole & heel
Outsole did its job, it was comfortable with great traction and durability.
Heel did its job just as good as the outsole. One of my main reason for choosing this boots was the style of the heel and I really enjoyed it.
Final thoughts
Great value boots which are made with great quality materials. Comfortable from the start and wear well throughout the time of the contest. I’d wholeheartedly recommend the brand and the boots.
