I live a suburban lifestyle and work from home at a desk. Most of the wear is basic daily wear. There’s some hiking, lawn mowing, digging and other yardwork.
It’s a strong leather, but scuffs and scratches are really visible for a light colored leather. I’ve done three conditionings with Bicks 4.
The arch support has never been great, and the insole hasn’t molded enough to allow it to be. On the plus side, the my toes have just enough from to wiggle, no matter what socks I’m wearing, but don’t slide around and get impacted.
This pair is built in line with where a hand built boot should be at this price point. Some variation in the sole stitching, but good stitching on the boot. Would have been nice to have a pull tab. Two panels of the pair had wrinkled leather, but they were oriented so the wrinkles ended up in line with how creasing develops normally.
It’s a good everyday sole. Durability is in line with a Christy, but it’s a nice low profile and really functional tread pattern.
