Use & wear

Dry Climate

Daily use for six months, mostly office wear but 1-2 mile walk every day.

Leather

Patina Process

It’s pretty incredible - was pale flesh to start, has aged into a gorgeous orange-tan-bronze hue. Creamy pull/up is apparent at flex points. Most notably it does not crease, but rather it rolls not unlike shell cordovan. Incredible leather. It’s never needed more than brushing, but I did give it the occasional shot of Saphir Renovateur.

Fit

2030 Last: 8E
Comfort
Length Feels Right
Volume Feels Right
Ball Feels Right
Satisfied with the Fit

Half size down from Brannock was perfection in this modern Viberg 2030 last. After 6 months of wear my feet slide in and displace all excess air/volume with a satisfying “schluck”.

Craftsmanship

Viberg Service Boot

Typical Viberg perfection.

Sole & heel

Ridgeway is softer than regular stud Dainite - honestly I prefer regular Dainite.

Final thoughts

Would Recommend

Wish I had two pairs of these. Great boot. Wouldn’t change a thing (except maybe the Ridgeway sole.)
