Engineers have been there all along.

These were a prize for doing well in the 2023 Dome and I definitely feel rewarded. My first pair of Engineers and they won't be my last. I wore these a fair amount but it really ends up pulling the rest of the outfit along with it. Once you decide to put on a pair of chaps, you can't really go with the cargo pants, and there's a similar affect with these. Though they are a lot easier to wear than I imagined they might be.

This unglazed Shinki shell is fantastic. I've been a Horween partisan and even worn some natural unglazed Horween quite a bit, but this leather is neck and neck with that. It's aging beautifully.

The first time I tried on a pair of Mr Lou's at Standard and Strange I couldn't get my foot into a 10. Not even close. I was worried. My measurements said I would be a 10.5 in this last and they raised the instep for me a hair and these fit like a dream. Easy to get on and off and comfortable to wear, even on long walks early in the break in. There's quite a bit of heel slip for me in these, but it's not an impediment to movement or comfort, so I'd take that all day over being tough to get on and off. I'm usually an 11D or E or an 11.5D so I sized down quite a bit here.

Wesco makes a great boot. I wouldn't hesitate to get one from them again. They've been in the game for a while for a reason.

If you're on the fence about an Engineer, get off of it.
