Wescos for the win. Love these boots and this leather. Result was art from a blank cacanvas

My main boots for this competition. These boots were worked to death on my little 3 acre property. They saw time on the tractor, cutting wood, tending chickens, digging holes, working under the hood, fire pit, snow plowing & shoveling, out on the town, you name it. 6th month got them a thorough clean and condition and then a re-condition. They’ve been brushed and buffed a bit for their final photo op and before they’re shut down for a while. I was worried about this ridiculously soft leather holding up to what I’d inevitably throw at it, but it was a champ, and it definitely shows every single indiscretion that came its way. They were a blank canvas awaiting the art. I’m very happy with the outcome.

This leather just shows every indiscretion that came its way. Took a while for me to let go and just let them ride, it was hard but we got there. Love the result and the story they tell. Started so absolutely soft and seemingly delicate but they held up like a champ to some brutal conditions.

I have narrow feet, B/C width, and my D width Wescos always come in with extra volume, even in the custom builds. I usually use one or two inserts to soak up the space after they’ve broken in a bit. Some times it takes some experimenting with various inserts to find the right combo and avoid raising the heal too much from the pocket.

Nothing beats Wesco build quality and design. These are amazing boots.
