I was looking for a boot with a logger heel in burgundy cxl. I love the silhouette of the cruiser, especially with a rolled top and how the Whites logo looks stamped on the side.
Read some online reviews and then followed Whites advice. I’m an 11.5E on the brannock and the 10.5E fits great.
Called direct, awesome experience.
I wore the boots but didn’t abuse them. Sometimes it was hot, sometimes cold, usually dry, possibly a little wet. I wore them for my middle age man chores but used my beater boots for the dirty work. And I don’t wear boots with shorts. Ever.
Slow to patina but insanely comfortable straight out of the box. Absolutely love the leather.
I have a wide foot with moderate arch and lowish instep. The 55 is my favorite last so far. More support and just as comfortable as my Alden Indy’s. Heel is secure without bite. I had zero break in issues. I could wear these all day straight out of the box. Definitely no “whites bite” for me.
Overall, excellent. Some stitching at the front of the rolled top are coming loose but the rest is super solid. Beautiful boots. The only pair I’ve received compliments on.
Comfortable, durable, grippy. Now my sole of choice.
The only part of the sole that is showing any real wear. Comfortable, grippy, awesome.
Admittedly, the Thunderdome was my excuse to buy the pair of White’s I was eyeing. I am so glad I did. The boots have been incredible and are by far my favorites. They were insanely comfortable day one and the burgundy chromexel is gorgeous. I get compliments on them all the time and makeup is very versatile. I feel very sure footed on slick surfaces and the leather/sole accommodate all day wear. I have a wide range of brands and my next pair will be another model of White’s on the 55 last. Just an awesome pair of boots.
