Worn them twice a week. Really like the look although I realised be a us of thrbbrught color it does not just match any outfit, so there is room for me to learn.
It is developing a nice patina and does that rather quickly. I was surprised that when I used a stiff hot airbrush, it almost removed the color. So after that shock, I just used a slightly damp towel instead of brushing. Breaking it in was all right, I guess, but not too tough. But I realized that the first speed hook is pushing into my midfoot, which is annoying. That's annoying. However, since I don't tie my laces too tightly, it works. I will experiment with some Kilites in the future.
It's a good length and almost the right width. The heel is snug, but it could have more volume in the midfoot. Im still looking for my perfect fit. I even ordered a branock devic which rads me as 7.5D but i know its wrong as i used to have some chippewas in 8 which where to thight in the toe box. I have a wide foot but not only in the ball also on the outside of the foot. So i ordered these in 8.5 e its almost perfect but this sherman is built on the barrie dress last and the toe box curves in from the otside to the inside as oposed to the other mps i hav ein the mp last which are alsmost symetricale roubnd. So after a day of wiear i feel me two smallsest toes hitting the leather. Furthermore i needed to learn that the boot needs to worm up when wearing. Meaning they are unconftable the first 5 minutes, but after that they feel supperb.
This boot is machine stiched. I like it that its sinlge row, it looks sleek. The mid brown leather *toscanello* looks verz cool with the brass & goldish hardware. I realy like the sleek profile and feel of the mini lugg sole.
The mini lug sole feels substantial. I really like it for everything work-related, when I need a good connection to the ground to feel safe. In contrast, the mini-lug half soles on my other MPS boots feel squishy and flexible. I like them for walks, but not for work. The same goes for my Oregon-soled Truman boots, which also feel soft. I think this sole feels similar to my Chippewas and Iron Rangers with cork nitrile soles.
I would buy them again. I bought them on sale at Bakers and really like their substantial, grounded feel and value. Next time, I would buy them in a different color. I'm waiting for a sale on the 8.5EE MP with an interesting leather and a Minilug or Dainite sole.
