Conceria Zonta

Located in the Brenta River region of the Veneto area in northern Italy, the tannery combines traditional artisanal methods with modern production technology. Conceria Zonta achieved Leather Working Group Silver certification in 2021 and serves manufacturers in the footwear, leather goods, and apparel sectors globally.

Conceria Zonta was founded in 1954 in Bassano del Grappa and has operated on the international leather market since that time. The company specialized from its inception in chrome-tanned calf leather products, including vitellino leather, calf sides, and calf splits.

On October 21, 2019, the tannery was acquired by the Fietta family from Bassano Del Grappa. The Fietta family, with background in notarial services in the region, acquired the company to maintain its industry reputation while bringing new stability to operations. Financial details of the acquisition were not publicly disclosed.

The tannery's production process combines artisanal expertise with modern technologies. Pure waters from the Brenta River have been integral to the tanning process throughout the company's history. All Conceria Zonta articles use chrome tanning methods with aniline finishing.

The company implements careful selection of raw hides from European origins and applies meticulous quality control throughout production. Recent digital transformation has included advanced inventory systems and Internet of Things (IoT) technology designed to optimize resource use and minimize environmental impact. All leathers undergo inspection before reaching clients.

Conceria Zonta produces a wide range of chrome-tanned, aniline-finished leathers suitable for shoes, bags, and leather goods. The product line includes six main collections: Castorino (suede), Goldanil (aniline calf), Heritage (aniline calf), Museum (aniline calf), Nevada Burnish Calf, and Old England (aniline calf).

The company's products are distributed internationally, with Euroleathers 2000 Ltd serving as the official distributor and stockist for the United Kingdom and Ireland markets. Conceria Zonta participates in the Lineapelle trade show to present its collections to the international leather goods and footwear industries.

Conceria Zonta holds Silver-rated certification from the Leather Working Group (URN: CON170). The company has been continuously certified since April 22, 2021, with the current audit valid through April 23, 2027. The facility was assessed under Protocol Issue 7.2.4 by auditor Jutta Knoedler from ITG GmbH Environmental Technology and is categorized as "C - Raw hide/skin to finished leather."

The tannery's traceability metrics show documented traceability for 23.24 percent of materials, physical traceability for 11.92 percent, and group traceability at 0.22 percent. The remaining 64.62 percent of materials are not traceable according to Leather Working Group standards.
