Beck Cowboy Boots was established in 1916 when twin brothers Earl and Bearl Beck purchased a boot shop in Dalhart, Texas. In 1921, the Beck brothers relocated their operation to Amarillo, Texas, where the business continues to operate today.

The company remained under the Beck family's control through multiple generations. Earl Beck's son Harry eventually took leadership of the business, maintaining the handcrafted traditions established by his father and uncle. Approximately 15 years prior to current operations, Harry Beck hired Jeremy Pool for his business expertise and Carlos Quiroz for his leatherworking knowledge. Pool and Quiroz later purchased the company from Harry Beck, becoming co-owners while preserving the traditional methods and quality standards established by the founders.

The company has achieved recognition for its craftsmanship and commitment to American manufacturing. In 2018, Pool and Quiroz represented Texas at President Donald Trump's Made in America showcase at the White House, celebrating domestic manufacturing excellence.

Beck Cowboy Boots maintains handcrafted production methods established over a century ago. Carlos Quiroz, co-owner and lead craftsman, learned shoemaking and leatherwork from his grandfather beginning at age 12, representing generations of artisanal skill transferred through family tradition. The shop operates with a small team that produces approximately eight pairs of boots daily, prioritizing individual attention over mass production. Each boot receives custom fitting to the wearer's specifications.

The production timeline for custom boots extends to approximately four months from initial order to completion. This extended timeframe reflects the detailed handwork involved in creating each pair. The company's philosophy emphasizes quality materials and traditional techniques, summarized as "no shortcuts, good leather."

Beck Cowboy Boots maintains historical connections to its founders through memorabilia and photographs of Earl and Bearl Beck displayed throughout the shop. The company continues to use methods from the original 1916 operation, including the use of 40-penny nails in construction.

The company serves a customer base of approximately 12,000 individuals, including multi-generational families who have purchased Beck boots across several decades. Notable customers have included Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, who ordered eight pairs for his offensive linemen, and Western Swing musician Bob Wills.
