To the special moments - tramping across the cobblestone streets of Lisbon, hiking up the rough-hewn steps of Sintra, scaling the heights of Seattle. You’ve been there for me. Midwestern winter meant we trudged through snow and slush and muck. Subzero weather turned the snow into icy sand, abrasive to edge dressing and uppers alike. Portugal and Seattle were rainy and treacherous, but you handled them like a pro. No Bean boots or galoshes needed here. Backyard goofing and yard work meant mud and dirt. Stooping down to wipe noses, tie little shoes, clean up spills and console feelings. Sled pulls in the back yard, bicycle races in the cul-de-sac, and sidewalk chalk exhibitions for the neighbors all added character to our adventures. By a1moyer • April 3, 2024"I wore this pair primarily for work as a UPS package car driver. 📦 I did wear them to church on the weekends every once in a while and did a couple hikes in Forest Park. Portland is a pretty wet city in the winter so they saw a lot of rainy days and puddle jumping. They spent most of their time in SE Portland neighborhoods. My supervisor crunched a few numbers for me and found that I *average* around 3500 deliveries/pickups a month. That breaks down to about 175 stops a day, some days more, some days less...depending on the time of year and route. These boots were on my feet for most of those deliveries. They did get a short break during the snow/ice storm...needed to bust out the V100 soled boots for those days. These boots have almost pure package car driver patina. 😂 In and out of the truck, driving from stop to stop, organizing/selecting packages in the back and making the deliveries. 🤙..."Read the full review

By jacktheenthusiast • April 6, 2024"I have worn my boots near daily. They really are like wearing covers for my feet by maintaining the comfort of being barefoot at home but everywhere I go. They have molded quite nicely to my daily life. I'm a dad. I take my 6 year olds to school, after school events, after school sport activities and weekend sport activities. I work in the city. I commute from the suburbs. I travel sometimes for work and for play. These "Great Escapes" have been a perfect travel companion to either throw in my bag or wear on the plane, train or in the car when I travel. I walk a lot daily either in the city or the suburbs and these boots don't remind me that I'm wearing them...."Read the full review
