Something happened between day three and day four. Starting day three these things really felt comfortable. No hotspots. No real issues at all. The. Dr Sole sole’s they are very comfortable and I like them a lot. I really like the way the weather is starting to break in a bit. My only partial grip is the tongue on my left foot slide slides to the side. Doesn’t happen on my right foot, just on my left, and I can’t figure out why. I also really loved that it didn't crease too much. After a few months of use I started using it for every occasion, whether it was going to work or just walking to dog. The big change came when I decided to take this boot on my vacation to Africa, where I wore it very rough for 3 weeks (alternated with another boot). The sun, the mud, and the sweat blended to really push the boot towards a cool patina, which I love. I've since cleaned and conditioned it and it looks phenomenal...."Read the full review

I imagine this is for extra sock layers for the -40 winters we get here. I made my own insoles from veg tan. Stacked a few layers and added some extra layers to build up the arch.
