The WM. Moorby 2816 is a casual lace-up boot in the WM. Moorby signature series from Canada West Boots. The series was developed to address the need for a casual lace-up boot using the company's traditional Goodyear welt construction. Model 2816 features Pecan Tumbled leather uppers, a six-inch shaft, and the Vibram 132 Montagna sole.
The boot is handcrafted in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It uses hand crafted premium grade leather with leather lining and leather cushion insoles throughout.
The 2816 features six-inch unlined quarters with Pecan Tumbled leather uppers. The boot uses a 471-toe last in 2E width, providing a round toe profile. The lacing system combines eyelets and ski hooks, allowing for quick adjustment of the upper portion while maintaining secure closure at the foot.
The boot is available in sizes 6 to 12 and 13. Interior components include leather lining and leather cushion insoles. The construction employs genuine leather welts throughout.
The WM. Moorby 2816 uses Goodyear welt construction, a method where the upper is stitched to a welt, which is then stitched to the sole. This construction allows the boots to be resoled when the outsole wears through.
The 2816 uses the Vibram 132 Montagna sole, known as "the sole that conquered Mt. Everest." The sole features a one-piece design with no glue or stitching that might be stressed by elements. It uses Vibram SBR compound, which is lightweight and shock-absorbent.
The 132 Montagna sole measures 9.5mm thick at the toe and 25mm thick at the heel. The design provides traction and durability across varied terrain.
