Dennis and Maico Signor founded Diemme with a focus on making performance footwear for hunting, mountaineering, and trekking. The brand later expanded its product range to include lifestyle footwear and has participated in collaborations with fashion houses such as Maison Martin Margiela, Chanel, and Bottega Veneta.

Diemme produces all its footwear in Italy at the Calzaturificio Diemme factory in Onè di Fonte, Veneto. The region has a history of making technical and performance footwear. Production of each pair involves approximately 30 to 35 artisans, and up to 380 pairs can be manufactured in a single day.

Diemme footwear is made using materials sourced from established suppliers. Commonly used materials include full-grain leather, suede, and waterproof nubuck. The company states that its leather comes as a byproduct of food production and that it uses vegetable latex for certain footbeds.

Diemme produces footwear styles such as hiking boots, sneakers, and Chelsea boots. The Roccia Vet hiking boot is made for outdoor use as well as urban settings. The Balbi sneaker is described as combining athletic function and a minimalist silhouette. The Balbi Chelsea boot uses leather and suede materials in its construction. The brand also partners with other fashion companies, such as GANT, to create limited edition collections.
