The Roskilde employs traditional European Veldtschoen construction, where the upper is built by hand over a flat last before the midsole is double-stitched to a 100% natural crepe rubber outsole. The uppers use premium terracare® leather sourced from Germany, measuring 2.5mm thick and crafted from full-grain European hide. The leather undergoes 100% chrome-free vegetable tanning certified by Oeko-tex and Terracare standards, then receives drum dyeing with high-quality, non-toxic dyes. All leather components—uppers, insole, and midsole—feature double stitching and reinforcement for enhanced durability. The leather is specially treated to resist water and dirt while maintaining natural breathability.

The outsole consists of distinctive Italian crepe rubber, providing cushioning and traction without compromising the boot's lightweight character. The entire construction contains no synthetic materials, adhering to Duckfeet's founding principle of using only natural components.

The Roskilde features a medium-to-wide fit with Duckfeet's signature foot-shaped toe box that promotes natural toe splay.
