Frye uses Goodyear welt construction in many of its boots. This method attaches the sole using a strip of leather or rubber sewn around the edge.
The company sources leathers such as full-grain and vegetable-tanned varieties for its products.
Frye produces the Harness Boot, which features a strap and ring design inspired by Civil War cavalry.
The Campus Boot was reintroduced in the 1960s and is recognized by its bulky toe and chunky heel.
The Engineer Boot was originally designed for railroad workers.
The Melissa Boot is an equestrian-inspired style with a round toe and flat heel.
The Ivy Sneaker is a round-toe style available as a slip-on or with laces. The Astor Sneaker is a men’s variant of the Ivy sneaker.
In 2022, JCPenney launched Frye and Co., a western American collection of apparel, footwear, and handbags inspired by the Frye brand.
