Overlord 6" Service Boots III

The Overlord 6" Service Boots III uses Goodyear welt construction, a method that attaches the upper to a leather welt, which is then stitched to the sole. The boot incorporates a Barbour leather welt sourced from a United States tannery, along with a Bontex footboard. The upper is made from oiled full-grain leather with an unlined construction and features double-sewn stitching throughout. A steel shank provides structural support for the foot and back.

The boot includes a molded anatomical footbed with memory foam and arch support. The premium cowhide collar adds durability at the ankle area. The outsole is made from crepe rubber, which is oil-resistant and slip-resistant.

The Overlord 6" Service Boots III measures six inches in height from the heel. The boot carries an Electrical Hazard (EH) rating and meets ASTM F2892 compliance standards for soft toe protective footwear. The boot does not include steel toe or composite toe protection.

The design combines historical military boot aesthetics with contemporary Farwest design elements. The crepe rubber outsole provides traction while maintaining flexibility for extended wear.

Golden Fox discontinued the Overlord 6" Service Boots III and marked remaining inventory as final sale, indicating that purchases could not be returned. The company, founded by Chien Chum Wu and family in the late 1980s and incorporated in 1988, has manufactured boots using Goodyear welt construction for over 50 years. The Fox family originally operated under the name Alp Footwear starting in the early 1970s before establishing Golden Fox, which is based in Ontario, California. The company began by selling boots at local swap meets and later relocated to Rancho Cucamonga in 1991.
