The boot is available in two primary leather options: horse leather in full grain or soft goatskin, both processed using Guidi's vegetable tanning methods.

Construction is entirely handmade in Italy at Guidi's workshop in Ponte Buggianese. The boot features a leather sole attached through traditional handwork rather than industrial methods. Each pair is crafted using the same vegetable-tanned leathers that pass through Guidi's own tannery, where the leather undergoes weeks of tanning in organic tannins derived from tree bark and plant sources.

The 210 employs natural dyeing techniques characteristic of Guidi's production approach. The leather may present veins, scratches, imperfections, or grain differences as natural characteristics of the vegetable tanning process rather than defects. These variations contribute to each boot's individual character and aging pattern.

The 210 is produced by Guidi, which operates both a tannery and workshop from its facilities in Ponte Buggianese, Tuscany. The company was established in 1896 when Guido Guidi partnered with Giovanni Rosellini and Gino Ulivi to create Conceria di Cuoiami Guidi e Rosellini, initially as a leather tannery in Pescia. The company invested 75,000 Italian lire to establish operations at Via del Giocatoio 8, building on Tuscan leather tanning traditions extending to the Middle Ages.

After Giovanni Rosellini's death in 1923, the company was renamed Successori di Guidi e Rosellini. The tannery expanded in 1934 with the acquisition of an adjoining building. Current operations are managed by Ruggero Guidi, who maintains the traditional vegetable tanning methods while producing footwear for both Guidi's own label and as a leather supplier to major fashion houses including Prada, Maison Margiela, and Rick Owens.

The company's production philosophy emphasizes handmade construction over mass manufacturing, with products designed to evolve with the owner through natural patina and wear patterns. Guidi focuses on what it describes as timeless design detached from fashion trends, creating pieces through independent research that emphasize craftsman-made construction.
