Imperium Footwear

Imperium established operations in 2016 as part of Indonesia's growing handmade footwear industry centered in Bandung. The company joined a community of Indonesian bootmakers offering handcrafted construction at competitive international prices.

Initially working primarily with local Indonesian leathers, Imperium expanded its material sourcing to include premium tanneries. Access to Horween, C.F. Stead, and Badalassi Carlo leathers allowed the company to offer customers internationally recognized materials while maintaining Indonesian craftsmanship and pricing advantages.

Imperium operates a workshop in Bandung producing made-to-order handmade boots. The Indonesian bootmaking industry provides skilled craftsmen trained in traditional construction methods, allowing companies like Imperium to offer hand-welted and hand-stitched boots at prices significantly lower than comparable Western manufacturers.

The company offers worldwide shipping through DHL, enabling direct customer relationships across international markets. This direct-to-consumer approach supports the made-to-order business model.

Imperium's signature models include the 7-inch Mighty service boot, the Leon derby boot, the 8-inch Mustang lace-to-toe lineman boot, and the Neo split-toe boot. These designs draw from American and Japanese workwear boot traditions while incorporating Indonesian manufacturing.

The product line spans service boots, work boots, and dress shoes, with customers able to specify leather choices from both Indonesian sources and premium imported options. Made-to-order customization allows individual preference in construction details and materials.
