Grant Stone Diesel Boot in Incas Jungle KangarooBy SimOnthEdge • April 2, 2025"So this leather is very special. I will start by saying that I have never had shoes made with good leather. It was very difficult to find products that were absorbed well without releasing oil on the surface. This leather has a very smooth grain and tends to lose its natural vegetal color. The best product I found is a plant that is in Sardinia but I could no longer get because I moved in trentino. I used this plant fresh, by squeezing it on the shoes and making sure that its natural oil was absorbed. It gave incredible shine and perfume. Unfortunately I used a Jim Green macadamia oil conditioner that completely ruined them. Fortunately the frozen snow scraped all the leather of the shoes, bringing them back to a natural color state, after which I simply used a neutral vegetal oil sold by Vivo Barefoot that I had at home for years. I have never conditioned them with polishes or special creams, perhaps now they would be much shinier. The leather of the shoes has never been too stiff and with use the sole is completely adapted to every roughness of the terrain, since with these shoes I jump run etc... the color has lost the dark green tone to become a chocolate brown, leaving out the characteristic spots of kangaroo leather. there have been scratches even deep and small parts have lifted but this leather has the ability to return shiny with little, just a good brushing with a cotton cloth.

I like a good challenge, and I got it. At first it didn't seem like you had any fun tricks up your sleeve – no wax to rub off, no teacore to wear away. Just an aniline finish in mid-brown hue, uncorrected grain selected by the hands of a leatherworker. Perfect in its simplicity and function.
Break-in was straightforward. We spent only a few hours together the first week, but then that slowly increased as my obsession grew. As the miles added up, the scuffs and dirt and strains of life slowly took effect. A beautiful richness developed within the brown tones of the leather. Hints of burgundy peeked through. Your supple harness leather molded to my feet. Toes collapsed and hide marks began to emerge, reminders of the animal you once were. All this combined to reveal the natural grain character and microstructure of the leather.
Man meets nature - to form beauty beyond the sum of its parts.
Hours spent caressing, brushing, conditioning, nourishing. Nights spent stuffed with paper towels after we got carried away in the snow and rain. Bick 4 for your uppers, and Skidmore's for the edges. Healing your wounds. That is how love blossoms. Running hands over your surface, feeling the marks and contours. Age looks good on you.

The leather it incedibile.
Is shiny, flaky and soft buy i have no experience in conditioning and caring for shoes so i have found a secret ingredient to oil and perfume this beautiful leather.
The only thing i always do is let them dry calmly and clean them with a wool or cotton cloth.
The color change in front and on the back, became darker and shiny.
Many cuts have formed on this skin but the kangaroo surprised me a lot, it is really strong and the cuts integrate perfectly into its scales...."Read the full review
Getting a kick out of kangaroo

The interesting thing with this leather is the color variation under different lighting conditions. Some spots started to show with wear (most prominently on the toe area) - I assume that's just part of the original skin. Care is pretty easy - just a wipe with a damp both, a little Bick4 when needed, occasional brushing...."Read the full review

Grant Stone Edward Boot in Incas Rust KangarooBy Btins • April 5, 2024"I love the leather on these boots. It doesn’t need to be broken in. It has an interesting crease/roll thing it does that is somewhere between shell (the leather that made me think about shoes) and cow.
I brushed them regularly but had very little shoe tree discipline. I conditioned them once a month with whatever I picked up. I believe the first was VSC, in the middle I used Bick 4 and i used Saphir prior to the final photos.
I was worried out the gate that the leather was patina proof. It is very stable and self correcting with brushing and conditioning. By the final two months they really developed a lovely patina.
